The control system

By traditional suction machines, the pump always produces the maximum capacity i.e. for the customer's widest and most open fabrics.
However, much more commonly, both narrower and closer fabrics are extracted.
This means that traditional machines are mostly producing a large surplus of air at the price of an absurd high power consumption because of using a by-pass valve in order to control the under pressure.

Therefore the OptiVac systems, equipped with frequency converter, are definitely the most effective. The pump motor runs up to a point where the desired under pressure level is reached, contributing to a radically minimised power demand, which is just the contrary to the "by-pass" method. At the same time both exhauster and motor are spared.

The exhauster station


The OptiVac systems are equipped with the most energy efficient exhauster, so-called "Roots" exhauster.
This type of exhausters has a 25% higher capacity than the liquid ring pump, at the same motor output. These exhausters do not need any seal water, in comparison with the liquid ring pump, which requires approx. 4 l/min and kW motor power.

The exhauster is mounted on a high-efficient specially designed silencer and built into a compact soundproof cabin, which can easily be opened when service is required. The exhauster is easy to start and stop without any special procedures. It follows the master machine, assisted by the control system.

Extraction tubes



The extraction tubes are made of stainless steel and prepared for direct connection to PVC pipes without use of flanges. Each tube is equipped with an inspection cover that simplifies the supervision.
When the fabric passes the slot opening of the suction tube, it is firmly sucked against the slot opening.
To avoid damage to the fabric, the slot is made of a smooth ultra high molecular polymer with extremely low friction. This guarantees a very effective extraction, even when running very sensitive fabrics. At the same time clogging, which causes uneven water removal, is avoided.
The suction tubes have a slot sealing system, which facilitates the control of the slot opening. The slot sealing follows the selvedge's automatically. Within a minute the sealing can be replaced without any need of special tools.

Separators

 

In order to obtain the required result, an efficient separation is necessary, especially when dyes and chemical finishing are recycled. The OptiVac separator is a special cyclone separator that always achieves an optimum separation.
There is no risk for any fibres to be sucked into the exhauster, which could cause wear to the exhauster. In the separator, there is no filter or any obstacles that might cause foaming or pressure loss.

The separator is made of stainless steel and has a door placed close to the bottom of the separator. On top there are three inspection covers.
A level sensor controls the liquid level and a diaphragm pump empties the separator. The control system allows the pump to work only when there is liquid in the separator. In this way sensitive dispersions or emulsions are prevented from shearing in the pump, when this is running idle. Furthermore, the pump is spared and the cost for pressure air is considerable reduced
.
